Participants will gain insight into how speech sound disorders can impact phonological awareness, decoding, and overall reading development. The session will also provide an inside look into speech therapy practices, including how speech-language pathologists (SLPs) teach sound production through techniques such as auditory discrimination, visual and tactile cues, phonemic placement strategies, and structured practice.
